Every DevToolStation tool runs in your browser. The text you paste, the files you open, and everything the tools produce, including generated keys, passwords, secrets, tokens and encrypted or decrypted data, are processed only on this page. This application does not upload them, does not store them in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage, and does not pass them to any advertising or analytics service. Files you open are read directly from your device.
Keys, passwords and secrets come from your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (the Web Crypto API). They exist nowhere else, so save any you need before you close the page.
The only things remembered between visits are your choices about the site itself: your theme, the diff layout, and which tools you pinned or used recently (tool names only). They are kept in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device. What you paste into Smart Paste is passed to the tool you open in memory and is gone when you reload or close the page.
DevToolStation can be installed as an app and works offline. To do that, your browser keeps a copy of the site's own files (its code, styles and icons), never anything you entered.
Copying a result places it on your clipboard. Downloading a result saves a file to your device. Neither action sends data anywhere.
